The Sunshine Coast is full of things to do. Whatever you do in the day, from soaking up the sun, hiking, boat rides, surfing and or stand up paddle boarding, turn your evening routine into checking out a nearby craft brewery!
In the greater Noosa area Mark and I went to 2 breweries:
- The Noosa Beer Company (aka Land and Sea) & Fortune Distillery
- Heads of Noosa
The Noosa Beer Company was our favorite in Noosa (and Mark’s favorite of the trip) due to the vibe at the space. They had an entire wall of photos with all of the dogs that have been in the Brewery! Noosa Beer also had an extensive beer & food menu with a distillery at the other side of the shop. They sold household items such as magazines, clothes, cups, growlers, etc. The location was in an industrial park, so you have to park on the street, but the beers were tasty.
Heads of Noosa Brewing Co. is a new taproom in Noosaville. It too was in an industrial park. They have small plates but only a few beers on tap as they are just starting up. Definitely worth a visit if you are in a rush as you don’t need to spend much time here.
In Cooroy, check out Copperhead Brewery. Inside a stone building was my favorite brewery in the region! Big wide windows open all the way for an amazing breeze and view outside. Food pairing with the food was perfect with all of their dishes, including vegan options. The food was also to die for! In my opinion beer was the best in the area and I would love to have this beer at my local liquor store.
In Eumundi, you guessed it, is Eumundi Brewery. This space was by far the coolest because of all of the art on the wall. Fully covered deck and basement dance floor make this a place to post up all day. There was a band playing when we came for brunch on Sunday afternoon.
The Glass House Brewery is located in Forest Glen and has a great indoor, outdoor flow. Mark and I enjoyed our late lunch there and got to hear some more live music from several performers.
There are a few Craft Beer tours that drive you all around the Sunshine Coast for a couple of hours to sample a handful of beers, but we found them to be super pricey. If you are okay with a short 20-30 minute drive from Noosa, you can have a great meal with a tasting rack so you can taste all the area has to offer on your own terms.
Some other places to try are:
- 10 Toes Brewery
- Moffat Beach Brewing Co
- Sunshine Coast Brewery
- Boiling Pot Brewing Co
- Your Mates Brewing
- MacLeod Brewing Company
- Brouhaha Brewery
- Sunshine Brewery
Tip: Get a pair of Slapsee sunglasses to complete your brewery look. They cling to your head so you can drink and play games at the breweries!
