2/10/11

I am beginning to realize how expensive everything is. Its not that things really cost much more, its just that the American dollar is so weak. I have finalized my trip to Barcelona and Amsterdam. The only other trip I’m going to take is to London for Spring break. I no longer go out to eat for every meal. I get a sandwich from the bakery next to school and then for dinner I get Picard. Picard is a frozen food grocery store that has little single meals for one person and it is really healthy and seems a lot better than frozen food from home. I am enjoying my housing. Its nice now that classes have started because I can come home and take naps instead of always being on the move all the time. I know that I still have a lot to see, but that’s what Friday and Saturday are for. I am really enjoying being able to go out to bars and clubs. The drinking age should really be 18 in America. I am also learning so many different dishes that I want to cook at home. For example, roasted onion and tomato, steamed potatoes, scrambled eggs and fruit on the side, steamed collar flower and more. I also forgot how much I love cucumbers and bread and cheese.IMG_2700

This is one of many posts from my journal I wrote during my semester abroad in 2011. I will not change anything in the post unless noted here.
*At the time I studied abroad I was 20.
