This past weekend my neighborhood, Kingsland, put on an event called “Friday Flavours & Tasters.” For $25 you got 3 drinks at 6 bars, plus a taster tray at a brewery.
I went with a friend as it was a great value! Yes, the sizes of the drinks were tasters. And yes, there was food you could buy it with. It was just a beautiful night and a great way to go to some restaurants you normally wouldn’t go to.
The list included:
- Citizen Park
- Portland Public House
- The Kingslander
- Kage
- Neighbourhood Brewbar
- Flight 605
- Garage Project
The tasters included:
- Lagunitas (IPA, Sumpin’ Easy & Pilsner)
- Tuatara (Tomahawk, 660 & Mot Eureka)
- Blackdog (Chomp, Shadow Soul & Boneyard)
- Tiger
- Montheith’s (Cider &Highway IPA)
- Moonwalker
- Emerson’s Pilsner
- Panhead APA
- Black Sands (Single Hop Pilsner, NZ Pale Ale & IPA)
You got a small “passport” to tick off your drinks, and a travel cup.
We were surprised to only see one other couple doing this deal. If it got more publicity it would have had more patrons. At the end of the night we were jolly and full, and would definitely do it again!
TIP: Don’t lose your cup bar hopping like we did. Instead, wear it around your neck!
Have you done something like this before? Was it worth it?
